Printer's Row is a quiet area just south of the Loop consisting of
condominiums and lofts created out of former warehouses, printing
plants and other historic buildings. During the day, the neighborhood
is an easy walk to offices in the Loop; after hours, the district is
alive with restaurants, boutiques, book and antique stores. Book
dealers are abundant in this section of town and each year the annual
book fair closes off the neighborhood streets to welcome booksellers,
small presses and literary organizations from across the country.
Printer's Row is also walking distance to Chicago's Museum Campus, with
the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium, and Soldier
Field.
