Located along the Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan, the Gold Coast is
the epitome of all things trendy, upscale, and luxurious in Chicago.
The Gold Coast is also home to many Chicago landmarks such as Water
Tower Place, many boutiques, some of the best shopping in the country,
and several city parks which include the Oak Street Beach. It's no
accident that the Gold Coast has the word "gold" in its name. It refers
to the Gold Coast in Africa and its wealth both of its original and
current residents. Starbucks even has a blend of coffee named for the
Gold Coast since its coffee is as luxurious as the neighborhood it is
named for.
